Retreat day for those in Parish Ministry

A day of reflection is being offered for those involved in Parish Ministry (e.g. Ministers of the Eucharist, Ministers of the Word, Choir members, Liturgy Teams, Baptism Teams, etc) on Saturday November 1st in St. John’s Pastoral Centre, John’s Hill, Waterford.

It is an opportunity to come away and rest a while and to renew your heart and mind.

The facilitator on the day is Mr. Ned Prendergast.  Ned taught RE and English for many years at Marian College Ballsbridge before joining the Marino Institute of Education where he was best known for a project and publication entitled: Re-imagining the Catholic School. His work in that period took him to Catholic schools in every corner of Ireland as well as to Australia, Africa, Malta, UK, and USA.  Around this time he was chairperson of the National RE Congress committee and in 2007 he joined CEIST as its Director of Faith Development. Since his retirement from CEIST he has continued to speak on faith and church issues with a range of audiences. He is a frequent contributor to The Furrow.
