Relics of St.Teresa of Calcutta Visit Diocese

This week is a very special week in our Diocese when we see the visit of the Relic of St. Teresa of Calcutta to the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, Waterford.  Please make a special effort for this wonderful time of prayer in our Diocese.  The programme for the visit is outlined below.  

Yesterday evening, Thursday 20th July, the arrival of the relic was attended by a large crowd who gathered to pay homage to this very special lady.  Bishop Cullinan celebrated Mass at 5.30pm and delivered an inspirational homily on the life of St. Teresa of Calcutta.


Friday, July 21st
10.30am Mass followed by Veneration of Relic.
11.00am -12.00noon Confessions.
3.00pm – Rosary followed by Veneration of Relic.
5.30pm – Mass followed by Veneration if Relic.
6.15pm – 7.15pm – Confessions.
7.30pm – Evening Prayer and Benediction.

Saturday, July 22st
10.30am – Mass followed by Veneration of Relic.
11.00am – 12.00noon – Confessions.
3.00pm – Departure of Relic.

The visit is being organised by the Knights of St. Columbanus.
