Jubilee Frassati Camino for Young Adults 2025

A special moment was the afternoon we spent at St Declan’s Well at Toor, where our group renewed their baptismal promises, blessed by water from the well, and had an opportunity for confession or just silent prayer. The weekend provided an opportunity for many to reflect on their own lives right now and where God might be calling them; for others it was a chance to network and link with other young people of faith. Many of our pilgrims had a mini-reunion at the Youth 2000 Summer Festival the following weekend, and have already expressed an interest in repeating the Frassati Camino again! Huge thanks to our spiritual directors, Fr Shane O’Neill and Fr Vincent Stapleton for the way they led not just the prayer and sacraments, but also the fun and fellowship throughout the weekend!

Our Frassati Camino for Young Adults this Summer was a great success! Celebrating the Jubilee of Youth along St Declan’s Way, inspired by the lives of local saints like St Declan and the incredible witness to faith, Pier Giorgio Frassati, our young adults spent 4 days together growing in fellowship and faith. Each morning began with 8am Mass at Holy Family Mission where we were based, followed by a hearty breakfast before hopping on the bus with our legendary bus driver John to our first stop. Each day we walked between 15 – 22 km along St Declan’s Way, praying, chatting, laughing, reflecting and capturing some epic photo and video memories!  Stopping for lunch we set on our way again and were greeted at the end of each day’s walking with nice cool drinks and a welcome bus journey back to HFM for showers, supper, evening prayer and fun and games together.
